These are some of the significant projects undertaken by us.
Second Penang Bridge
Jambatan Sultan Halim Muadzam Shah
More commonly referred to as The Second Penang Bridge. All exposed surfaces were given an anti-carbonation coating system. We were privileged to be awarded about 90% of the total paintworks.
- First Coat: Silane Siloxane Primer
- Second Coat: Solvent based methacrylate topcoat
- Third Coat : Solvent based methacrylate finishing coat
Heritage Bridge Repair
Jambatan Sultan Iskandar At Kuala Kangsar, Perak
The only one of its kind left in Malaysia. This heritage steel bridge with concrete columns was opened in June 1932.
- Blast & paint the 85 years old steel structure.
- Strengthen steel structures with new members.
- Repair the concrete columns of cracks and other failures.
Flyover bridge
Jejambat Autopont
Refurbishment to Autopont Flyover in Georgetown.
- Non polluting blasting and painting to steel structure within the city.
- Anti- carbonation coating to all concrete surfaces.
Penang Ferry Terminals
The oldest ferry service in Malaysia. Began operation in 1894. In 2011, we were tasked to repair the Drawbridges of the Ferry Terminals at Pengkalan Raja Tun Uda & Sultan Abdul Halim.
- Corrosion protection with non polluting blasting & painting.
- Structural strengthening of steel members.
- Resurfacing & general refurbishments to aging ferry terminals.
Bicycle bridges
Jambatan harapan
This State initiative project comprises of a series of short bridges all connecting to form a bicycle lane for recreation purposes.
- Blast & paint 3 steel bridges.
- Anti-carbonation coating for concrete spiral structure.
- Colour coating on bicycle lanes and pedestrian lanes.
Heritage Bridge Repair
Raker Pile
A ship crashed into the side of the jetty. Both the piles at this location broke. We were tasked to refurbish, strengthen and up back the capacity of both piles.
- Underwater blasting for surface preparation.
- Inject high strength moisture friendly PU resin to re-bond crack.
- Install shear connectors and new steel reinforcement.
- Grout with hydraulic non shrink grout.
Pulau Jerjak Jetty Repair
Jerjak island Steel Pile Repair
This jetty was supported by steel piles which were very badly deteriorated. Some were about to snap in half.
- Repaired 6 piles using the steel jacketing method.
- Use of professional divers to work underwater.
- Install cathodic protection.
