Existing Steel Pile were severely corroded by the extreme marine environment. The piles were barely usable by itself.
The existing coating were not meant for marine environment coupled with the fact there was also no cathodic protection welded to the piles.
The jacketing method was used to repair the piles wrapping a new steel plate over the damaged areas.
Welding of new steel jacket to existing piles including underwater welding by professional divers.
Space in between old & new steel grouted with high strength hydraulic type grout
Re-coat with underwater epoxy coating both above and below water and install new cathodic protection.
